The techniques in this book can make the difference
between what you want and what you have to settle for
A personal message from the author:
Hello Fellow Fundraising Volunteer,
As a father of three and a grandfather of eleven and as an executive of a national fundraising company I have had the privilege of hands on fundraising experience from multiple vantage points.
Like you, I have been involved in many fundraising campaigns with my children and now, my grandchildren.
I have also observed fundraising from another vantage point-as founder and executive of a national fundraising company dealing with hundreds and hundreds of groups like yours across the country. I have made it my business to observe what the successful fundraising campaign leaders do that separate them from the average-and yes, also the failures.
The principles and secrets I have learned and observed are what this book is all about. Whether you are a veteran fundraiser of many years or whether this is your first time as a fundraising volunteer, you can learn from this book. This book can make the difference between what you want and what you’ve had to settle for.
One of the saddest situations I have ever observed is the fundraising chairperson that failed to do as well as their predecessors. They felt the whole community focused on the failed fundraiser. Sometimes it takes years to get over those feelings, if they do at all.
On the other hand, some of the happiest people I have observed are those that put some of these principles into practice. When their fundraiser ended with outstanding success they were walking on cloud nine.
Let me share with you ideas and techniques from nearly two decades of working with hundreds and hundreds of successful groups like yours.
Just one or two ideas from this book could take your fundraising to a new level beyond what has ever been achieved with your group.
Thank You,
Jack L. Atwell
